      Disposition:
the façade When you first meet Kaeya, he is every bit the friendly and helpful, if flirtatious, Captain in the Knights of Favonius. He doesn't seem to take his work very seriously, always delegating to others or contemplating the beautiful weather and lamenting his choice in career. However, Jean specifically says that Kaeya is an excellent Knight and no one can dispute that (despite the fact that she often gets exasperated by his recklessness - he gets things done).

As affable as he appears, there's also a clear layer of teasing and testing others in everything he says, such as when he calls himself "your bro" to Diluc, despite the tense nature of their relationship. But he almost always says it with a smile, leaving the listener to question whether he is serious or deliberately twisting the knife into the metaphorical wound. He can definitely take what he dishes out, however, as he takes every insult or personal sleight on his character with the same, if cutting, smile. When Diluc insults the Knights of Favonius for being inefficient, Kaeya simply laughs it off.

manipulation, manipulation, manipulation Manipulation is honestly the number one way in which Kaeya interacts with other people. He's constantly gathering information, looking for ways to get others to do his dirty work for him or to get this pawn in this position for this specific event in order for him to progress in his schemes. Why do you think he always spends his nights at bars, where loose lips talk? Luckily, most of his schemes are for the good of Mondstadt - whether to apprehend treasure hoarders or to prevent a political fallout with another country.

Still, this method of handling these issues can make him seem untrustworthy. Amber seems to think Kaeya is shifty and troublesome, and Diluc states that you can only trust half of what he says at best. But this may be a deliberate tactic on Kaeya's part, explained further below.

the trauma No character is complete without some trauma! And boy does Kaeya have trauma that he has made certain to bury, hide, and burn any traces of. When he was a child, his father abandoned him at the Dawn Winery under a ruse of getting grape juice (and to this day, Kaeya hates grape juice), telling Kaeya "This is your chance. You are our last hope." He was then taken in by the Ragnvindr family, where the head of the family was eventually brutally killed, and Kaeya and Diluc, the blood son of the Ragnvindrs, eventually fought each other after Kaeya confessed his true reason for being left with the Ragnvindrs.

Now twice abandoned, Kaeya may have developed some abandonment issues. He demonstrates this by keeping everyone at arm's length, never allowing others too close to his heart. He deflects uncomfortable questions with flirtation and half-truths, keeps people at a distance with the same. People quickly tire of his flirtations and laid-back attitude, how he always seems to keep his composure, so he weaponizes it to keep people away from prying into his business.

Others close to him are also always naturally suspicious of anything he says, as it could be a fabricated tale in order to manipulate them to act or think a certain way. Kaeya further protects himself with these suspicions, as no one can really tell what is false and what is his true, honest feelings, should he actually deign to tell anyone. Although Kaeya has used his façade to gain many allies and admirers, no one can really say that they know the real Kaeya Alberich.

impasse At the heart of Kaeya, is the conflict between his duty to his birth nation and his duty to his adopted nation. Perhaps it is because of this that Kaeya rather enjoys watching people at a crossroads of a difficult decision, when beliefs are questioned and picked apart. Perhaps it's a reflection of his own hidden, internal struggle that he knows he will have to face one day.

But because he carries on with a smile, we will never truly know until the time comes.

      Suitability:
synchrony While he is likely to be resistant to the emotional aspect of synchrony, he will not be averse to the physical aspect behind it as Kaeya is flirtatious and friendly in nature and Cannot Die as he has Too Many Machinations in Place. While we don't see him really physically touching others in the game, pretty much nobody does, so it may be simply a limitation of the game. The same goes for Kaeya in life-threatening situations - we don't really see it in game, but we can assume that from his fight with Diluc, while we don't know how serious it was, that Kaeya is willing to do whatever it takes to continue living, even if it means fighting his former brother.

gembond powers Already having his Vision, gembond powers will be nothing new to Kaeya. He is already familiar with being able to control an element via a gift from a god, what's a few more powers under his belt? A cool rock giving him cool powers is not a new thing to him whatsoever.

bodily transformations This would certainly be a new one for Kaeya to experience, but not really new to him in general. He is from a nation called Khaenri'ah, whose people are cursed to transform into monsters. He may have some Feelings about transforming into a beast, but he may also look at it as an opportunity and research into the detransformation and see what he can find to help his people.

native gems As a foreign man in his own world, Kaeya's not going to cause problems on purpose with the native gems. He will try and be helpful where he can, back off where there is clear tension. It's in his nature to sit back and observe, gather whatever intel he can on an unknown situation, then come in with a disarming smile and have as many "friends" as possible (aka informants, whether they know it or not).

overall world What's another new world for Kaeya, when he's already had to adjust to Mondstadt and its customs and people?

Condition upon arrival: physically healthy and mentally stable

      Abilities:
swordsmanship As Cavalry Captain, Kaeya is quite an accomplished swordsman. He has perfect form and grace, though perhaps with a few embellishments for flare.

cryo vision With his cryo vision, Kaeya can summon ice. In the game, he is able to summon a burst of ice from his sword and also three icicles that revolve around him. But he is shown in the webtoon to be able to create shields of ice and other ice forms as well (asword, a simple snowflake that can expand once thrown, etc.).

Notes: We don't actually know yet what is under his eyepatch, whether it's a special eye, no eye at all, warped skin around the eye, or if he simply enjoys wearing it for fun. So I'm just avoiding it altogether by making it his gem.
