[ this takes place sometime towards the end of the month, as the gembonded are encouraged to take their leave to primavera and enjoy some hot springs and synchrony. roman has found himself at the hot springs a few times—it's one of his favorite places, drawn to water and all. but he can't help but be drawn to one dumb contact on his phone, already taking his time to jot out a text in multiple variations

[ah - just the man he was hoping to hear from. kaeya has been up to his ears in Shenanigans, and he's so tired but roman is familiar and steady. he's lying on his futon, taking a break.

he luckily has some photos of him having a good time, but man this retreat has been kind of unexpectedly difficult in ways. mostly related to diluc... ah, they really can't be in a room together, huh?
